What are the "spotlight" features?
This is where you will learn a little more about our sponsors and the blogs taking part in the celebration!  Let's take a look at some fabulous bookish folks...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Peachtree Publishers
FOUNDED MORE THAN THIRTY YEARS AGO in Atlanta, we're one of the original independent Southern book publishers. We publish many types of books, but our focus is on titles for children and teenagers, self-help topics, parenting issues, health-related works, and books about the South. Our books are thoughtfully and lovingly designed and illustrated, and tell stories that are powerful, moving, and affecting.
If you haven't been in touch with this wonderful publisher, fear not...they are blogger friendly! More often than not, you can find Associate Publicist Erin Deedy out and about in the blogosphere, tweeting the latest book news on Twitter, and making it easier to find out more on their most recent releases. Thanks to her efforts, we have three of their titles to add to our Kick-Off Contest...all of which are family friendly reads. For more information on these titles and their many other publications, check out their blog, visit their website, or follow one of their Twitter feeds (one and two).
The Drowning Machine
 (Naomi)
The Drowning Machine's focus is on crime fiction books in general, and this year we (my blogging partner is Corey Wilde) have placed a slight emphasis on the short story form. We run an annual contest called The Watery Grave Invitational in support of those writers who produce short crime fiction. Last year's top two stories came from Hilary Davidson, whose debut novel will appear this October, and Sophie Littlefield, whose debut novel earned both an Edgar and an Anthony nomination this year.
Genre Reviews
(Debbie)
I'm on the search for well-written novels that have no explicit sex, little gore, and minimal to no explicit bad language. I review young adult and adult novels of all genre, but mainly suspense, mystery, thriller, historical, romance, and fantasy. I also have author interviews and hold book giveaway contests.
------------------------------------------
Chew & Digest Books
(Gwen)
Nonfiction, mystery, and thriller reviews with a touch of other random bookishness.
Wow!  We have some great looking folks there and the best part?  There's more where THAT came from!  Take a moment, check out their sites and see what they're all about.  Be sure to stop by again soon for our next spotlight feature....you never know, YOU might be next!
Happy reading!
