We definitely want to give a huge THANK YOU to all of you who jumped on your computers for the first ever Got Books? Event Twitter Party! The response was phenomenal and we can not wait to do it again next year!

The Twitter Party, made possible by our wonderful sponsors (be sure to check out the page dedicated to them for more info on the books provided as well as their links to their sites, blogs, and Twitter feeds), was an incredible success. However there was one glitch...I need to know where everyone lives (ie. US/Canada/International) to determine prize eligibility. If your name is here, please contact The Got Books? Team (either via Twitter @GotBooksEvent DM or email gotbooksevent {at} gmail {dot} com) and let us know your address (including country), so that we can make the correct prize associations and mail them out. Thank you so much for your help with this...definitely something to think about for next year!

Without further adieu and in no particular order...

We are both frantically tallying entries and adding a few last minute sponsors you will be excited to hear about! We wanted to give a big thank you to all of our Sponsors and especially our Participants! With close to 300 entries for all of our amazing contests just here at the Got Books? site, not to mention the incredible response to the Twitter Party Friday afternoon, our First Annual Got Books? Event was a greater success than we could have ever imagined! We truly hope you will all be back again next year for an even better and bigger event!

Make sure to check back over the next couple of days for the Twitter Party and Kick-Off Contest Winner Announcements as well as an end of event survey we'd love your feedback on! We've heard amazing things from each of the individual blogs participating and it's so exciting to hear, so we'd love to hear more and get some more suggestions for next time.

Again, thank you! And we'll see you again very soon!

Did you put together a wrap-up or winners post? We'd love for you to link it up below!

What are the "spotlight" features?
This is where you will learn a little more about about our sponsors and the blogs taking part in the celebration! Let's take a look at some fabulous bookish folks in this FINAL Spotlight post before the Kick-Off Event tomorrow...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Our final sponsors to join the Got Books? Event fun...
eTreasures Publishing was originally founded in 2004 on the principle of helping serious writers become published.  In late 2009, it was sold and new management is seeking to revitalize and grow the business.  We strive to provide our readers with quality books written by the best authors.
This publisher has generously donated two print books as well as two eBooks both of your choosing to our Kick-Off Contest!  To learn more about this publisher and their growing list of publications, visit their website, bookstore, or blog!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Roy Pickering was born on the idyllic island of St. Thomas and currently resides in a quaint New Jersey town with his wife and daughter. Feeding the Squirrels is his first published novella and Patches of Grey is his debut novel. He is currently hard at work on a second novel (Matters of Convenience) as well as a series of children’s books being illustrated by his wife, the artist Erin Rogers Pickering. Archived articles from his Sports Issues column appear at Suite101.com. His prose about sports, politics, the writing life, and whatever else comes to mind can be found on an ongoing basis at the blog "A Line A Day".

Thanks to the generosity of this sponsor, we have two copies of his debut novel, Patches of Grey, to be added to the Kick-Off Contest!  For more information on this author, visit his website, or follow along on Twitter!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
{indie}pendent books was formed in 2009 to not only help discover new authors, but to give them a more focused platform for selling their work to readers who are hungry for something new. All books featured on the site have been pre-selected so only the best of the indie community is showcased. At {indie}pendent books, the focus is not on filling our shelves with as many books as possible, but about making it easy for readers to find great books from authors they may not have experienced before. We are also constantly on the lookout for new authors and books to keep the selection fresh, so please check back often.
Thanks to this generous sponsor we have two titles to add to the Kick-Off Contest!  For more information, check out their site, blog, or follow along on Twitter!
She worked in a refugee camp abroad, and then went on to work with refugees in the U.S. Betti on the High Wire is a book she wanted to write about the brave kids she met along the way. Lisa lives in Austin, TX.
Thanks to this generous sponsor, we have one SIGNED copy of her latest novel, Betti On the High Wire, to add to the Kick-Off Contest!  To find out more about this author and her latest work, visit her site.
Elephants On Trapezes
(Readerly Person)
I'm a recent college graduate eating ramen noodles to keep myself in books. What books? Any books, tall, short, thin, fat - although I tend toward young adult, science fiction, fantasy, and historical fiction. My blog, Elephants On Trapezes, lets me talk about said books (and also about writing) with quite possibly the coolest people in the world. Goals? To (finally) finish my second novel. And to read until words spill out my ears.
------------------------------------------
Emily's Reading Room
(Emily)
I read mainly young adult fiction. My goal is to get people I know to pick up a book, es pecially if they aren't avid readers. I want everyone to know the possibilities available in a good book.
------------------------------------------
Buried in Books
(Heather Rosdol)
My goal is to keep up with the new authors and novels out there and maybe branch out into other genres. I'd also like to make friends with people I can discuss books with that like the same type of books that I do. I love the blog hops on Friday!
------------------------------------------
Tethered Mommy
(Maggie)
I'm tethered to many things, but especially books. I don't go anywhere without a book in my hand. As a book reviewer, I want you to see whether a book is worth your time and if it is a light read or something a bit more emotionally involved.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Wow! We have some great looking folks there and the best part? There's more where THAT came from! Take a moment, check out their sites and see what they're all about. Be sure to stop by again soon for our next spotlight feature....you never know, YOU might be next!

Tracy is a New England native who has been writing fiction since she could hold her first crayon. She writes horror stories, thriller novels, and most recently two screenplays. She also dabbles in children's/young adult fiction and just sold her first children's mystery novel The Man of Mystery Hill.
  Thanks to this author's generousity, we are fortunate to have three eBook copies of that first children's mystery, The Man of Mystery Hill, up for grabs in out Kick-Off contest!  For more information on this title and her current works in progress, visit her website, Facebook page, or follow along on Twitter.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Wormhole
(Beverly)
This is where I keep track of what I read, what I am waiting to read, and what I want to read. It is also my connection to others who love to read as much as I do. I read almost anything, mostly fiction. I truly love paranormal. You will find a little bit of everything. My current goal is to read at least 100 books this year while complete all my challenges.
------------------------------------------
Today's Adventure
Today's Adventure
(NotNessie)
Today's Adventure is my outlet for my closet bookishness. You'll find book reviews in several genres, along with author interviews and other book-related posts. I love to meet other booklovers, so please stop by!
------------------------------------------
Read and Wonder
(Hallie)
I'm gathering seven years' worth of book reviews, focusing on young adult fiction, and posting them to Read and Wonder. I'm especially fond of science fiction and fantasy, as well as how young adult literature doesn't stay within the typical boundaries of genre fiction.
------------------------------------------
Martha’s Bookshelf
Reviews by Martha's Bookshelf
(MarthaE)
Reviews by Martha's Bookshelf is a forum for book reviews, author interviews and features, book related memes, book giveaways and a few non book related posts. The goal is to encourage authors who write the books and encourage readers to find new and old authors to read.
